Lee and Gretta Bowman, the applicants and owners, wish to demolish an existing garage at the rear of their house at 2450 Evalon. In its place, they wish to build a one and a half story addition to the side of the house and paint the addition to match the existing color of the house. In addition, there is a 12'xl4' addition on the right side of the house that has a flat roof that is leaking. The Bowmans would like to put a pitched roof on that addition. The existing garage is deteriorating. The new addition will include a garage on the first level with living quarters above. The addition will be painted to match the existing color of the house. The house is listed in the 1991 SPARE Beaumont survey. According to SPARE, the house was built c. 1940 and is of the Colonial Revival style. Exhibits are attached.
