APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
Vice -Chairman Yoes made a motion to approve the minutes of the January S, 2007 Regular
Meeting. Commissioner Petznick seconded the motion. Motion to approve carried 7:0.
REGULAR MEETING
1) CA-1297: Request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to allow the demolition of
a structure.
Location: 2529 Angelina
Applicant: City of Beaumont
Mr. Richardson presented the staff report. The subject structure was tagged as
substandard in November, 2006. The demolition consent form was signed by the
owner's daughter, who has power of attorney.

Mrs. Loiacano, Demolition Field Supervisor, states that the structure has 33% or
more damage of supporting members and is not suitable for rehabilitation. The
structure is not listed in the SPARE survey.
Mr. Richardson recommended approval of the request.

requested in CA-1297. Commissioner Hallmark seconded the motion. Motion to
approve carried 7:0.
2) Historic Preservation Loan Report
Mr. Richardson stated that there is $72,342.95 available in the loan fund.
3) Director's Report
Mr. Richardson reported that he spoke with Rob Clark, architect on the tennis court
improvement project at 2595 Ashley, regarding the removal of the trees. Mr. Clark
said the removal of the trees was necessary to build the tennis court, but they could
plant some additional trees.
Discussion followed regarding the historic districtregulations and possibly updating
them.
Mr. Richardson said that he was working with the Executive Office to make new
appointments to the Commission.
Darlene Chodzinski, Executive Director ofBeaumontHeritage Society, announced
that the grand opening of the Chambers House will be held May 5.
