Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Request for approval of a Preliminary Plat of Westchase Village, Section VII FILE: Preliminary Plat - Westchase Village, Section VII STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval of this preliminary plat and the variances to the temporary cul-de-sac requirement. Fittz and Shipman, Inc., the applicant, is requesting preliminary plat approval of Westchase Village, Section VII, a 22 lot, single family residential subdivision. As part of the development of this section, storm sewers along Village Drive and Windchase Drive will replace existing earthen channels. The applicant is requesting variances to the temporary cul-de-sac requirement at the east end of Village Drive, the east end of Windchase Drive and the north end of Whisper Wind Drive Section 24-13 (h) of the Subdivision Regulations allows a variance to this requirement when the dead end street is less than two hundred feet in length. This preliminary plat was sent to all interested parties. At the time of the writing of this report, no negative responses had been received. Exhibits are attached.
