Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Request for preliminary plat approval of Stoneleigh Apartments Addition, Block 1, Lot 1 FILE: Preliminary Plat - Stoneleigh Apartments Addition, Block 1, Lot 1 STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval subject to the following condition: 1. Provide a fire hydrant layout that will meet with the Fire Marshall=s approval. Fittz & Shipman, Inc. has applied for preliminary plat approval of Stoneleigh Apartments Addition, Block 1, Lot 1, a 16.632 acre, multiple family dwelling subdivision. The property is located on the east side of N. Major and south of the LNVA Canal. Seneca Investments is proposing to construct an apartment complex on the subject property. City Council approved a specific use permit for an apartment complex in October, 2007. As part of this plat, a 334' section of Homsar Pointe Boulevard is going to be built. This street will have an 80' wide right-of-way and four 12' lanes of traffic divided by a 10' wide median. All public improvements will be built to City standards. This item was sent to all interested parties. The Fire Marshall states that the fire hydrants must be laid out to meet his specifications. Exhibits are attached.
