Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Consider a request for preliminary plat approval of Barrington Heights, Phase VIII FILE: Preliminary Plat - Barrington Heights, Phase VIII STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval of this request subject to the following condition: 1. Provide an additional fire hydrant on Valmont Avenue. (Fire) Carroll & Blackman, Inc. has applied for preliminary plat approval of Barrington Heights, Phase VIII, a 14.39 acre, 43 lot single family subdivision. As with previous phases, all public improvements will be built to city standards. Sidewalks will be constructed on both sides of all streets. Valmont Avenue, which will provide access to Delaware, will be built to collector street standards with a 60' wide right-of-way and 37' pavement width. Claybourn Drive will also be constructed to collector street standards. Overhead electrical primary service will be extended down the collector street from Delaware to the proposed bridge crossing, then dip to underground primary throughout the subdivision. Underground storm sewers will be constructed for drainage and outfall to DD#6's ditch No. 121-B which ties into the Dowdel detention basin. A box culvert bridge will be constructed at the ditch crossing for the extension of Valmont Avenue. This item was sent to all interested parties.
