STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval.
Jefferson County Drainage District #6 has applied for the
abandonment of a portion of Maddox Street and all of Maddox Circle,
in the South End.
DD#6 has developed a plan to relieve the flooding in south Beaumont
by constructing the Lamar Detention Basin Project-FEMA. DD#6
has acquired the property on each side of that portion of Maddox
Street and Maddox Circle to develop the Lamar Detention Basin.
DD#6 has contacted the utility companies to remove all service from
that area.
This item was sent to all interested parties. No negative responses
have been received.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR ORDINANCE PURPOSES
Maddox Street - Being a portion of Maddox Street, beginning at the
northeast corner of Lot 6 and northwest corner of

direction to its intersection with Maddox Circle, City
