HomeMy WebLinkAbout706-OB DATE: December 18, 2006 TO: Planning Commission FROM: Stephen C. Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Consider a request for the abandonment of a 5' x 121' sanitary sewer easement. FILE: 706-OB STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends denial of this request. Fittz & Shipman, Inc. is requesting the abandonment of a 5' x 121' sanitary sewer easement located on property at the northwest corner of Chamberlin and College. With the abandonment of this and adjacent easements to the west, the properties will better accommodate development. A proposed 15' utility easement is to be dedicated at the north end of the property to replace the abandoned easement. This item was sent to all interested parties. Water Utilities recommends denial of this request. There is a 10" sanitary sewer line located in the existing easement. This line serves properties east of Chamberlin and west of Lindbergh. Water Utilities states that the line cannot be relocated. Exhibits are attached.
