FILE: 699-OB STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval of this request. Christ Gospel Church is requesting an abandonment of a 20' x 300.3' portion of the alley in Block 1, South End Addition. The church will be constructing a new church on its property at 3227 Highland. The church states that the abandonment will accommodate this building project. This item was sent to all interested parties. No negative responses have been received. Exhibits are attached. LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR ORDINANCE PURPOSES Being a 20' x 300.3' portion of the alley beginning in the north right-of-way line of Chapin Road and continuing northerly to what is the northwest of Lot 17 and the northeast corner of Block 1, South End Addition, City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, containing 0.137 acres, more or less.
