STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval of this request.
Greater Little Zion Church of God in Christ is requesting an
abandonment of Lemon Street. Lemon Street is an unimproved
street east of Magnolia. The church is located at 4296 Magnolia and
owns all of the property north and south of Lemon.
Dr. Adam Smith, pastor, states that the church would like to
redevelop the adjacent properties as part of its expansion plans.
Proposed improvements include a small neighborhood park with
walking trails, pavilions, picnic tables and playground.
This item was sent to all interested parties. No negative responses
have been received.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR ORDINANCES PURPOSES
Being all of Lemon Street, beginning at the east right-of-way line of
Magnolia Street and extending in an easterly direction for a distance
of 555 feet to the end of the street right-of-way, City of Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas, containing 0.819 acres, more or less.
