Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Consider a request for the abandonment of two waterline easements FILE: 513-OB STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approving the abandonments subject to the following condition:  The abandonments shall not become final until the new water main has been installed, tested and accepted for city maintenance. Faust Engineering and Surveying, Inc. is requesting the abandonment of two water line easements that are located in the Dillard=s parking lot at Parkdale Mall. Dillard=s is going to expand its store and will be constructing a two story addition over these easements. It is their plan to relocate these lines within new dedicated easements. This item was sent to all interested parties. Water Utilities states that it cannot abandon the existing easements until the new water main has been installed, tested and accepted for city maintenance. If approval is recommended by the Planning Commission, staff will not forward this item to City Council until such time that the requirements of Water Utilities are met. Exhibits are attached.
