Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Consider a request for the abandonment of a 0.0307 acre portion of Liberty Avenue FILE: 770-OB STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval subject to the following condition: 1. The City shall retain a 10' x 10' triangle of land at the th northeast corner of the intersection of 11 Street and Liberty Avenue. The City of Beaumont has applied for the abandonment of a 0.0307 acre portion of Liberty Avenue. Altus Healthcare Management th Services, located at 390 N. 11 Street, will be expanding its facility to offer more health services and provide more area for parking. The City of Beaumont will exchange property with Altus to allow it to expand its facility. The property that Altus will exchange with the City is currently used as roadway for Liberty Avenue. Transportation Engineering has requested that the City retain a 10' x 10' triangle of land at the northeast corner of the th intersection of 11 Street and Liberty Avenue. Traffic signal improvements at the intersection require the placement of a signal cabinet on this corner.
