Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Consider a request for the abandonment of a portion of Ironton Avenue FILE: 814-OB STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval subject to the following condition: 1. The abandoned right-of-way be retained as a general utility easement. The City of Beaumont Public Works Department has applied for the abandonment of a portion of Ironton Avenue. This portion of Ironton Avenue is a remnant left over when the current Ironton Avenue was re-aligned. Currently, the City maintains the unused right-of-way. The City wishes to abandon this unused right-of-way and get it back on the tax rolls. This item was sent to all interested parties. Time Warner Cable has strand and coax on existing power poles in the right-of-way. Exhibits are attached. PUBLIC NOTIFICATION Notices mailed to property owners 4 . Responses in Favor .
