The Planning Manager recommends approval.
The City of Beaumont Public Works Department has applied for the
abandonment of a 50' x 50' portion of Genoa Street and two 20' x
50' sections of alley right-of-way in Blocks 5 & 6, G. Cuchia
Subdivision. All three rights-of-way are unimproved and unused
remnants that dead-end into private property. Currently, the City
maintains the unused rights-of-way. The City wishes to abandon
these unused rights-of-way and get them back on the tax rolls.
This item was sent to all interested parties. No negative responses
have been received.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR ORDINANCE PURPOSES
Alley (Exhibit 1) - Being a 0.02 acre tract of land beginning at what
is the east property line of Lot 8B, Replat of Lot 8, Block 1, South
Park 4 and extending in an easterly direction to what is the west
right-of-way line of Elba Street, City of Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas, containing 0.02 acres, more or less.
Genoa Street (Exhibit 2) - Being a 0.06 acre tract of land beginning
at what is the east property line of Lot 8B, Replat of Lot 8, Block 1,
South Park 4 and extending in an easterly direction to what is the
west right-of-way line of Elba Street, City of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas, containing 0.06 acres, more or less.
