STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval subject to the following
condition:
1. Retain the abandoned alley as a general utility easement.
Rev. Mark Adams, pastor of First Baptist Church has applied
for the abandonment of a 20' x 203' portion of an alley in
Block 5, Calder Addition. The alley is currently used as a
parking lot for the church.
This item was sent to all interested parties. An 8" sanitary
sewer line is located in the alley so approval is conditioned
on retaining a 20' wide general utility easement.

Being a 0.09 acre portion of an alley located in Block 5, Calder
Addition, BEGINNING at the southwest corner of said alley;
THENCE N 8953'53" E for a distance of 202.80'; THENCE N
0100'04" E for a distance of 20'; THENCE S 8953'53" W for
a distance of 203.20'; THENCE S 0008'37" E for a distance of
20' to the point of BEGINNING, City of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas, containing 0.09 acres, more or less.
