Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Consider a request for a zone change from RS (Residential Single Family Dwelling) District to RM-M (Residential Multiple Family Dwelling-Medium Density) District. FILE: 1790-Z STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval of this request. Mary Trahan Alsdurf, the applicant, is requesting a zone change from RS (Residential Single Family Dwelling) District to RM-M (Residential Multiple Family Dwelling-Medium Density) District for the property at 8955 Phelan. There is an existing house on the subject property. Ms. Alsdurf states that she would like to build a new house on the same property. The new house will be about 100 feet to the rear of the existing one. When the owner of that house is deceased, Ms. Alsdurf plans to remove the it. RS zoning does not allow more than one house on a lot. In 1982, 2.5 acres immediately west of the subject property was rezoned to RM-M. In 1999, the 3.75 acres immediately east of the subject property was rezoned to RM-M. Exhibits are attached. PUBLIC NOTIFICATION Notices mailed to property owners 12 . Responses in Favor .
