SUBJECT: Consider a request for a zone change from RS (Residential Single
Family Dwelling) District to GC-MD (General
Commercial-Multiple Family Dwelling) District or more
restrictive district.

STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval of the north 0.444 acres
to GC-MD and the south 0.202 acres to GC-MD-2.
Mark W. Whiteley & Assoc. is requesting a zone change to GC-MD
(General Commercial-Multiple Family Dwelling) District for 0.646
acres of land in the proposed Metropolitan Park development on the
old West End YMCA property. This zone change would allow the
development of the subject property in accordance with the overall
master plan. The zone change involves part of the condominium
area.
The split in the zoning will correspond with the zoning that has
already been approved for the development.
