Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Request for a zone change from RS (Residential Single Family Dwelling) District to GC-MD (General Commercial-Multiple Family Dwelling) District or more restrictive district FILE: 1918-Z STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval. Kathy Scott has applied for a zone change from RS (Residential Single Family Dwelling) District to GC-MD (General Commercial-Multiple Family Dwelling) District or more restrictive district. The property is located at 610 W. Lucas (Old Lucas). Ms. Scott recently attempted to get a certificate of occupancy to lease the commercial building located on the subject property. The building is to be leased to American Marine and RV Financial Services. At that time, it was discovered that the property=s zoning is split between RS and GC-MD. Ms. Scott states that the building has been used by a variety of commercial uses over the years. In order to correct this zoning oversight, she is requesting that Lot 8 be rezoned to GC-MD to match the rest of her property and to make it legal to lease her building. Exhibits are attached.
