Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Consider a request for a specific use permit to allow a warehouse in a GC-MD (General Commercial-Multiple Family Dwelling) District FILE: 1957-P STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval. Harry Kilgore has requested a specific use permit to allow a warehouse in a GC-MD (General Commercial-Multiple Family Dwelling) District. The property is located at 2990 Laurel. The proposed warehouse is to be located in an existing 15,000 sq. ft. commercial building. Mr. Kilgore states that the building will consist of approximately 14,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space and approximately 1,000 sq. ft. of office space. The building was last used as a day care center. However, the building has been vacant for several years. The building was originally constructed for commercial uses. The proposed use will be compatible with surrounding uses.
