Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Consider a request for a specific use permit to allow a pipe and supply company in a GC-MD (General Commercial-Multiple Family Dwelling) District FILE: 1938-P STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval. ACT Pipe and Supply has applied for a specific use permit to allow a pipe and supply company in a GC-MD (General Commercial-Multiple Family Dwelling) District. The property is located at 1405 Ashley. The subject property currently consists of two existing structures and a storage area. Randall Hyatt, Area Manager for ACT, states that his company specializes in supplying products for underground utilities, plumbing, fire protection and fabrication sales. Customers include cities, contractors and schools located all over Texas. Business hours will be Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Mr. Hyatt states that the inventory will be kept in an orderly fashion so as to not impact surrounding properties in a negative way.
