STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval.
The Beaumont Teachers Association has applied for a specific use permit
to allow a professional office in an RCR-H (Residential Conservation and
Revitalization) District. The property is located at 2524 Broadway.
The office will be used by the Board of Directors of the Association as
their meeting place and to keep files. The 10 member board officially meets
once a month.
In August, 2010, City Council approved a bookkeeping and tax service office
in an adjacent space at 2522 Broadway.

This application is in conformance with all eight conditions necessary for
approval. Comments on Condition 1 follow:
1. The Beaumont Teachers Association office will be in an
existing office building. Other office uses are located
nearby. This specific use permit would complement the
other commercial uses in the area.
