Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Consider a request for a zone change from RS (Residential Single Family Dwelling) District to LI (Light Industrial) District or more restrictive district FILE: 2123-Z STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval. Jack Wright, representing Wright=s Scrap Metal, Inc., has requested a zone change from RS (Residential Single Family Dwelling) District to LI (Light Industrial) District for two tracts of land located at 5802 Washington. The subject property is currently used as part of Wright=s Scrap Metal. The scrap metal business extends to the south and west of the property. Mr. Wright states that he plans to install a wash rack on the subject property. When Mr. Wright applied for a building permit, it was discovered that the zoning and the existing land use did not conform. The proposed zone change would bring the property into compliance and would allow Mr. Wright to build his wash rack. PUBLIC NOTIFICATION Notices mailed to property owners 11 . Responses in Favor .
