SUBJECT: Consider a request for a Rezoning from GC-MD (General Commercial - Multiple
Family Dwelling) to R-S (Residential Single Family Dwelling) District.

STAFF REPORT
Richard Faust of Faust Engineering is requesting a zone change for the properties located at
1580, 1600 and 1620 Washington Village Parkway. The owner would like for this land to be
developed with single-family homes, similar to those immediately to the west. Since the
property is zoned GC-MD (General Commercial - Multiple Family Dwelling), it must be rezoned
for houses to be built. Property to the west and south is currently zoned R-S (Residential Single
Family Dwelling).
Planning staff recommends approval of the request.
Please note that final occupancy approval is subject to review and acceptance of submitted plans
and field inspections to verify compliance with applicable codes.
