STAFF REPORT
Richard Faust of Faust Engineering and Surveying, Inc, is requesting a Specific Use Permit to allow
the expansion of a church at the southwest corner of Rusk and 13th Street. The property is zoned HI
(Heavy Industrial) and requires a Specific Use Permit for a church.
Mr. Faust states that the church plans to add a fellowship hall, classrooms and related parking. All
utilities are available and a new fire hydrant will be installed by the city, at the applicants expense.
Staff recommends approval of the request.
Please note that final occupancy approval is subject to review and acceptance of submitted plans and
field inspections to verify compliance with applicable codes.
