SUBJECT: Request for approval of a certificate of appropriateness to allow
the construction of a driveway at 2235 South.

STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval of the request subject to
the following condition:
The driveway width will not exceed 10'.
Gerald George, the applicant, is requesting a certificate of
appropriateness to allow the construction of a single car driveway in
the front yard on the east side of the property at 2235 South. The
parking space will be 10' x 18'. The south end of the space will be
one foot away from the base of the tree on the east side of the
property.
The structure=s most recent use was a halfway house. The property
owner is converting the main structure into a two residential units.
The smaller structure at the rear of the property will be converted
into a single residential unit. There is an existing curb cut and
parking space on the west side of the property.
