Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Request for approval of a certificate of appropriateness to allow the enclosing of a portion of a side porch of a structure at 2296 Rusk FILE: CA-968 STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval of this request subject to the following conditions:  Leave the front and side porch rails along those areas where there will be no construction.  the window and door must match the styles that are on the house. Gerardo Ibarra, the property owner, wishes to enclose a portion of the side porch of his house at 2296 Rusk. The enclosure will extend from the west wall of the main part of the house to the east side of the porch. The enclosure will not extend beyond the southwest corner of the main part of the house. Mr. Ibarra proposes to leave the columns but would like to remove all of the railing. Siding would match that of the house. One window would be installed on the west side of the addition and a door would be installed on the south side. Exhibits are attached.
