Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Request for approval of a certificate of appropriateness to allow the construction of an addition onto the rear of the house at 1920 Long. FILE: CA-963 STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval of this request. Patricia Torres, the applicant, is requesting a certificate of appropriateness to allow the construction of a 12' x 14' addition onto the rear of her house at 1920 Long. The house has an old style asphalt shingle type siding. This siding is no longer available. The addition will have a 41/2" - 5" overlap wood siding that will be painted to match the color of the house. One window, to match the other windows on the house, will be installed on the west side of the addition and a wooden door will be installed as well. The roof will be of a similar pitch and shingled with the same type of shingles as the existing roof. Exhibit is attached.
