STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval of this request.
Philip and Kim Long are requesting a certificate of appropriateness to
allow exterior renovations to the house at 2669 Broadway.
Renovations include:
Removing the wood semi-circle at the front door in order to see
the existing front door with round window detail.
Removing the exterior walls that are enclosing what once was an
exterior front porch. These walls were not installed properly
and are pulling away from the existing structure. By removing
the enclosed porch walls, the house can be restored to its original
look with an exterior corner front porch.
Repairing and repainting the existing stucco on the exterior of
the house.
Removing the existing roof and replacing it with asphalt shingles.
Removing the existing addition at the rear of the house. This
wood addition does not appear to be original to the house. It is
currently separating from the existing structure. Once the
addition is removed, a new back door with an awning or cover
will be installed.
Repairing/replacing the existing deteriorated windows around
the exterior of the house.
Exhibits are attached.
