Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Request for approval of a certificate of appropriateness to allow the construction of a front porch and a circular driveway. FILE: CA-1281 STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval of the porch and denial of the circular driveway. Thelma Eller is requesting a certificate of appropriateness to allow the construction of a front porch and a circular driveway at 2332 Evalon. Ms. Eller is having a number of improvements made to the house including siding repair, window replacement, painting, a new roof and garage demolition. A certificate of appropriateness was granted for those items earlier this month. Ms. Eller wishes to add a front porch to the front of the house and a circular drive in the front yard. The porch will compliment the house. The house is currently served by a one lane driveway that goes up to an existing carport at the side and rear of the house. The proposed driveway would connect the right side of the existing driveway with the curb and cut through the middle of the front yard. Additional parking could be accomplished by widening the driveway to a maximum of 20'. Exhibits are attached.
