SUBJECT: Request for approval of a certificate of appropriateness to allow
a prefab metal carport.

The Planning Manager recommends denial of this request.
June Weed, the applicant, is requesting a certificate of appropriateness
to allow a prefab metal carport at 2093 McFaddin. The applicant
states that the carport was constructed approximately a year ago.
However, it was found that no building permit was issued for the
carport.
Section 30-21.2 of the Zoning Ordinance states that accessory
buildings must be compatible with the scale, shape, roof form,
materials, detailing and color of the building. The carport does not
meet these requirements and is clearly seen from the street.
The property is listed in the 1990 SPARE Beaumont survey.
