STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval of the paint color and
denial of the painted signage in the front windows.
Mr. Broussard of Broussard Properties, the property owner, is
requesting the approval of the color that he painted the buildings at
2406 North. Mr. Broussard painted the buildings prior to receiving a
certificate of appropriateness. In addition, signs were painted on the
windows in the building that houses the beauty shop.
The two buildings on the property are painted mauve. On the
windows of the beauty shop, owner identification signs have been
painted. Section 30-21.2 of the Zoning Ordinance states that
attached signs may not be located in or in front of any window or
doorway.
The subject property is listed in the 1991 SPARE survey. SPARE
states that the original buildings have lost all integrity.
Exhibits are attached.
