STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval of this request.
Pam Loiacano, Field Supervisor, has requested a certificate of
appropriateness to allow the demolition of the structure at 2302
Evalon. This structure was inspected and found to be in violation of
the City of Beaumont Code of Ordinances pertaining to dangerous
structures.
The house was tagged as substandard on October 27, 2006. The
property is owned by David Price, et ux. Ms. Loiacano states that the
structure has 33% or more damage of the supporting members. The
house is suitable for rehabilitation. JCAD appraises the structure at
$46,660.
The house is listed in the 1991 SPARE Beaumont survey. The house
was built c. 1940 and is of the traditional/ranch style and is typical
of World War II era housing.
