SUBJECT: Request for approval of a certificate of appropriateness to allow
the construction of an addition onto a house.
FILE: CA-1348
STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval of this request.
Leonardo Torres, the applicant, is requesting a certificate of
appropriateness to allow the construction of an addition onto the
southeast corner of the house at 2025 Long. The addition will house
a laundry room and possibly a bathroom.
Mr. Torres states that the 10' x 12' addition will be constructed of the
same siding and painted the same color as the house. The roof will
have the same pitch and be covered with the same 3-tab shingles.
The addition will have a door and window installed. At some point in
the past, mill-finished windows were installed in the back part of the
house. The contractor states that this part of the house was an
addition. So that all the windows in the back part of the house
match, the Planning Manager recommends that the property owner
be allowed to install a mill-finish window that would match the
existing windows.
Exhibit is attached.
