Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Request for approval of a Certificate of Appropriateness to allow painting, restoring the front porch with a brick skirt, railing and a wheelchair ramp, restoring the back porch with railing and installing a lattice skirt around the remaining perimeter of the house at 2190 Broadway. FILE: CA-1336 STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval of this request. Carleatha Wells is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness to allow painting, adding a brick skirt, railing and a wheelchair ramp to the front porch, adding railing to the back porch and installing a lattice skirt around the remaining perimeter of the house. The house is located at 2190 Broadway. Ms. Wells wishes to paint the main body of the house Glidden Paint Sand White and the trim Glidden Paint Potter=s Clay (paint samples will be available at the meeting). The wheelchair ramp will be installed on the end of the front porch, running to the driveway. The house is located in the 1989 SPARE Beaumont survey. SPARE states that the house was built c. 1910 and is of the Neoclassical style. Exhibits are attached.
