Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Request for a certificate of appropriateness to allow the construction of a paved parking area in the rear yard FILE: CA-1538 STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval. Kenneth Luquette has applied for a certificate of appropriateness to allow the construction of a parking area at the rear of the house at 2255 South. Mr. Luquette states that there are two apartment units located within the house and two units within the garage apartment. He states that the rear yard has been used for resident parking for many years. Examination of the property reveals some shell or gravel was laid sometime in the past. He will pave the 60' x 120' parking area with concrete. If approved by the Historic Landmark Commission, Mr. Luquette will be required to get a parking lot permit and a driveway permit from the Building Permits Division of the City of Beaumont.
