STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval.
Pam Loiacano, City of Beaumont Demolition Coordinator, has applied
for a certificate of appropriateness to allow the demolition of a house
at 2222 North.
Ms. Loiacano states that the house was tagged as substandard on
February 8, 2008. Ms. Loiacano says that the house has 50% or
more damage of non-supporting members and 33% or more damage
of the supporting members. The house has been determined to not
be suitable for rehabilitation.
The house is included in the 1990 SPARE Beaumont survey. SPARE
states that the house was built c. 1919 and is of the National Folk
style. The house is typical of middle class housing built in Beaumont
in the 1920's.
