STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval.
Excello Construction has applied for a certificate of appropriateness to
allow the demolition of an existing house and the construction of a
new house at 2220 North. The new structure is a Hurricane Rita
replacement house.
The approximately 910 sq. ft. house will be constructed on a pier and
beam foundation. The house will be sided with 6" hardi-plank. The
roof will be shingled with brown architectural shingles. The white
aluminum windows will be 6 over 6. The body of the house will be
painted Sherwin Williams A Chop Sticks @ (SW 7575) and the trim will
be painted Sherwin Williams A Portico @ (SW 7548).
The 2200 Block of North is a mixture of single family residential,
apartments and commercial. No single architectural style is
prevalent. Building styles run the gamut.
Exhibits are attached.
