STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends subject to deleting the brick from
the front of the house and using hardie board. on all sides of the
structure so that the house will blend in with the remaining structures
in the block.
Saul Diaz has applied for a certificate of appropriateness to allow the
construction of a new house on a vacant lot at 2165 Liberty.
The 1,500 sq. ft. wood frame house will be constructed with brick on
the front facade and hardie board with an 8" profile on the sides and
rear. The brick will be an A antique brick @. The front door will be of
a traditional look. Six over six white vinyl windows will be installed in
the house. Architectural shingles will be installed on the roof. Trim
and the hardie board will be painted Sherwin Williams A Casa Blanca @
(SW 2060) which is a light beige.
While there are very few houses left in the 2100 Block of Liberty,
most of the houses have wood siding. There is one house that is a mix
of stucco and wood siding.
