Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Request for a certificate of appropriateness to allow the construction of a new house FILE: CA-1650 STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval. Lopez Framing Inc. has applied for a certificate to construct a new house at 2445 Rusk. At the April 13, 2009 meeting, the Historic Landmark Commission approved the demolition of the existing structure on the property. The ranch house will be sided with hardie-board . The body of the house will be painted Sherwin Williams A Weathered Shingle @ (2841) and the trim will be painted Sherwin Williams A Roycroft Copper Red @ (2839). The windows will be white framed aluminum. The architectural shingles will be Owens Corning A Autumn Brown @. The house will be attached to the existing garage by a breezeway The block where the new house will be constructed consists of mostly wood siding houses. Exhibits are attached.
