demolition of a house and the construction of a new house

STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval.
Altura Homes has applied for a certificate of appropriateness to allow
for the demolition of the existing house and the construction of a new
th
house at 1098 N. 6. The existing house has hurricane damage.
The demolition and the construction are being done under the State of
Texas THAP Program.
The house will be a one story frame house on a pier and beam
foundation (see Elevation A B @). The siding will be painted Sherwin
Williams A Studio Taupe @ (SW 7549). Trim around the windows, the
doors and cornice will be painted Sherwin Williams A Polar Bear @ (SW
7564). The cedar columns and shutters will be stained Sherwin
Williams A Yankee Barn @ (SW 3505). Windows will be white vinyl and
the roof will be covered with 30-year shingles in a grey weathered
wood color.
