Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Request for a certificate of appropriateness to allow a circular concrete driveway in the front yard FILE: CA-1814 STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends denial. Jorge Torres has applied for a certificate of appropriateness to allow a circular driveway in the front yard. The property is located at 2366 Smart. Mr. Torres proposes constructing a 12' wide circular drive that would tie-in with his existing driveway. In addition, he would construct a 7' x 12' extension on the west side of the property to provide a back-up space. By constructing the driveway as submitted, Mr. Torres would basically be paving his entire front yard for parking. Exhibit is attached.
