SUBJECT: Request for a certificate of appropriateness to allow the
construction of an accessory building
FILE: CA- 2078
STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval subject to constructing
an 8' tall wood screening fence along north and west sides of the
accessory building.
Richard Callais has applied for a certificate of appropriateness to allow
the construction of a 10' x 16' accessory building at the rear of his
property at 2553 South.
The building will be a metal Morgan building. The Historic District
Regulations state that prefabricated metal accessory buildings are
permitted if they are completely screened from any abutting street.
While the accessory building is located at the rear of the property, it
will be seen from South St. due to a vacant lot west of the subject
property.
Exhibits are attached.
