SUBJECT: Request for a certificate of appropriateness to allow the
construction of a new maintenance and storage barn for the
McFaddin-Ward Museum

STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval subject to the following
condition:
1. The maintenance and storage barn must be setback 25' from
the front property line.
David Goodell, representing McFaddin-Ward Museum, is requesting
a certificate of appropriateness to allow the construction of
a new maintenance and storage barn for the museum. The property

is located at 707 N. 3 St.
The 1,540 sq. ft. building will be constructed on the northwest
rd
corner of North and 3. The building will be of wood frame
construction with 8" hardiplank siding. Windows will be one
over one white vinyl. The structure will be painted white.
There will be two 8' x 10' rolling doors on the north side of
the structure.
An existing garage apartment building on the adjacent property
will be torn down once the new building is complete.
