HomeMy WebLinkAboutCA-2365 DATE: March 10, 2014 TO: Historic Landmark Commission FROM: Adina Ward, Planner II SUBJECT: Request for a certificate of appropriateness to allow an addition at the rear of a house. FILE: CA-2365 STAFF REPORT Staff recommends approval of the request. Albert and Ranesha LeBlanc are asking to expand their home at 2238 Angelina Street to the rear of the property. Their family is growing and they need more space. The siding, windows, doors, roof pitch, roof material, and paint colors will all match or be very similar to existing. The addition will be on piers to match the original house. The house is listed in the 1990 SPARE Beaumont Survey. SPARE states that the house was built c. 1940. The house is listed as a fine example of middle class housing in Beaumont in the 1920’s and 1930’s, and is of a colonial revival style with craftsman influences. Exhibits are attached.
