STAFF REPORT
Staff recommends denial of the siding and windows.
Michael Bradfield is in the process of making some improvements and repairs to his
home at 2550 Evalon Street. The house appears to be stucco, but in reality the siding is
flat boards placed side by side. The wood has begun to rot and Mr. Bradfield has
replaced some of these flat boards with 6" reveal Hardie Board lap type siding. Several
casement windows, each having 10 panes, have been replaced with 6 over 6 double hung
windows.
In addition, the applicant has installed a covered breezeway to the rear of the property
that is visible from the street. The breezeway was constructed with a sloped metal roof.
Mr. Bradfield states he intends to paint all exposed wood and the new siding to match
the original house color.
The house is not listed in SPARE.
Exhibits are attached.
