HomeMy WebLinkAboutCA-2608 DATE: March 14, 2016 TO: Historic Landmark Commission FROM: Adina Ward, Planner II SUBJECT: Request for a certificate of appropriateness replace all of the mostly one light over one windows in a house with new six light over six windows, and to add a window to the front right facade. FILE: CA-2608 STAFF REPORT Staff recommends approval of the request. Rocio Blas would like to change all of the windows in the house located at 2080 Pecos Street. The existing windows in the house are one light over one light wooden windows. Ms. Blas would like to replace these windows with vinyl clad, white windows in the same size as the existing windows. She would, however, like to install six light over six light windows. In addition, Ms. Blas would like to add a window to the left front facade, creating a double window. The house is listed in the 1990 SPARE Beaumont Survey. SPARE states that the house was built c. 1925. The house is listed as an example of middle class housing built in Beaumont in the 1920's and 1930's and of the craftsman style. Exhibits are attached.
