STAFF REPORT
Boyd Meier, Building Official, has applied for a certificate of demolition for the residential
structure located at 2250 South Street.
Mr. Meier states that the structure was originally tagged on January 5, 2016. The inspection
report states that there is extensive termite damage, as there are multiple holes in the walls and
ceilings. There are holes in the roof and water damage to the interior due to the leaking roof.
Black mold is visible and the interior is unsanitary. All damaged electrical and plumbing will
also need to be replaced. Staff recommends a raze order.
The house is in the 1990 SPARE Beaumont Survey. SPARE states that the house was built c.1925.
The house was listed as typical of middle class housing built in the 1920's.
