STAFF REPORT
Staff recommends approval of the parking lot.
Lauren Brooks & Gregg Conway are purchasing the property located at 3643 North Street. An
application for a Specific Use Permit was approved by City Council on July 25, 2017. As part of
their request, a waiver to the perimeter landscaping and eight (8) foot privacy fence, was also
approved, allowing a six (6) foot fence.
The applicants plan to pave the rear yard with hot-mix asphalt to accommodate required off-
street parking for the approved CPA office. This parking will not be highly visible from the
street and will take vehicles off the street. Railing and a handicap ramp will be added to the rear
porch, which will not be visible from the street.
The house is in the 1991 SPARE Beaumont Survey. SPARE states that the house was built c.1925.
The house was listed as a common house type built in the 1920's.
