FILE: CA-2807 STAFF REPORT In August of 2017, Roy L. Malveau made application to allow a chain link fence at 2346 Broadway. The property had been renovated before he purchased it, and the previous owner constructed a chain link fence without the benefit of a Certificate of Appropriateness. Due to the fact that Mr. Malveau was the new owner who bought into the situation, the Commission chose to give him a six (6) month extension to bring the property into compliance. Nine (9) months later, the violation has not been corrected. It is now up to the Commission to either allow the chain link fence, or deny the request so that staff can pursue bringing the property into compliance. The house is not listed in the SPARE Beaumont Survey. Staff recommends denial of the request. Exhibits are attached.
