STAFF REPORT
Robert and Kathe Hyslop, the property owners, recently requested a
zone change and a specific use permit to allow a storage facility at
1710 North. The facility will be used to store additional china for
their vintage china shop. On April 26, the City Council approved the
zone change and the specific use permit subject to the Hyslops being
granted a special exception to the minimum parking requirement.
Normally, a storage building of this size would require six parking
spaces. However, the Hyslops will usually be the only persons
coming to the building to pick up china to take back to their retail
location. They state that only occasionally will a customer come to
the storage building, thus the request for two parking spaces.
Exhibits are attached.
