SUBJECT: A request to abandon an approximately 50'x 310' portion of Evalon Avenue.

MG Real Properties, Ltd., is requesting to abandon of a portion of Evalon Avenue,
located between Jirou and Gulf Streets as they own all adjacent properties. Properties
west of this location would continue to have access from Jirou Street. The applicant
states that the City has not properly maintained this street and they would like to be able
to better maintain the pavement as sole owners of property.
Entergy, AT&T and City Water/Sewer have responded that they all have facilities in this
right-of-way. Although they all state that their facilities cannot be relocated, they are
not opposed to the request as long as an easement is retained.
Therefore the Planning staff recommends approval of this request with the retention of an
easement.
This item was sent to all interested parties.

Being approximately 50' x 310' feet of Evalon Avenue extending from the east
right-of-way line of Jirou Street to the west right-of-way line of Gulf Street containing
